The Perak Footwear Industry Association (PFIA)

Founded in 1913 and is originally named as the “Perak Tat Yew Hong”. Nevertheless on June 6th, 1975, it was renamed to the current name, and is still being use till today. Founded with an aim to solidify and foster close cooperation among members via the spirit of reciprocity and cohesion. Through such spirit, the association hopes to stimulate economic growth and to bring forth modernisation to its members. PFIA has grown to a membership size of over 500 members strong and is now a century old. Today PFIA focuses on educating & training its members on the latest shoe making / shoe designingtechnology(ies) and equipping them to be globally competitive through various joint events or marketing/branding activities. With the Ipoh Shoe City Project materialising, PFIA is now set to be game-changers in the marketplace and to leap forth Malaysia into the global shoe making & designing arena.
